caffeinate your copy for stronger sales
If it doesn’t sell, it isn’t creative.
– David Ogilvy

I Help Small Business Owners Rise Above The Noise To Amplify Your Results And Make More Sales
Because let’s be honest – the marketplace is only going to get louder. I’m less whimsey and more science when it comes to copywriting, because yes, there is a science to speaking above the crowd. Conversion copywriting is about the art of persuasion – it’s the sweet spot that lies at the intersection of Creativity and Proven Formula.
Getting there can be tough. Lots of congestion, distractions, potholes and misleading maps, let me tell you. The good news is, I’ve been around the block and I know the fastest route.

We’ll find a nice, warm coffeehouse playing that slightly irritating acoustic crooner-music in the background, and draw up a copywriting strategy to get you exactly where you want to be. Well, okay, we’ll hop onto Zoom, but that last part is still bang-on.

Why Your Words Matter
Here’s a mind-blowing stat: Most online visitors will only read 20 per cent of content on a website page.
It’s safe to say the same kind of skimming happens with emails, ad copy, and other online marketing material as well. If you think this means that you shouldn’t waste time on copywriting, you’re dead wrong.
What it really means is that you need to make every word count, so your audience stays longer, reads closer, and acts faster.
The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result. If you’re not seeing the conversions you want, don’t be crazy – do something different. Copywriting is a great place to start. Let’s set up a call to chat about your copywriting goals, and see if we can work something out. Hit that “let’s connect” button to put yourself in my calendar – I look forward to meeting you!
“Robyn is so much fun to work with and never ceases to amaze me with her clever way with words.
I would say she’s the dot to my ‘i’ and the cross to my ‘t!'”
– karolyn masters, founder of Tevao creative inc.
“Robyn Stubbs defined herself as a reliable editor with the ability to see through the noise and deliver clear and concise perspectives under the stress of daily deadlines.”
– Dean Broughton, former digital news editor, Vancouver Sun Newspaper

I wear many hats, like all of us, but my fave is definitely my family one – sometimes it looks a little worn and tired, but it’s so damn comfortable and fits just right.
Like a good Aquarian, I wear my heart on my sleeve and my thoughts all over my face. What you see is what you get – I’m not buttery and I don’t own pom-poms, but man, will I go to bat for you when you need it.
For me, there’s no place like home. My morning coffee is my fav part of the day, and indoor plants make me happy. I left a career in mainstream journalism back in 2009, and never looked back. Instead, I turned to freelancing in copywriting and social media content management.
And now, I’m focused on helping YOU – the bold entrepreneur – step up, stand out and amplify your success with copywriting that converts into engagement and sales.
We have a ton to talk about – I’m ready when you are.

So you come up with a very catchy, very clever headline that works just brilliantly with the design. BAM! You feel great – this is gold.
But wait. Does that catchy, clever headline really do what it’s supposed to do? Does your reader immediately understand why they should spend more than 3 seconds on your site?
Are you being clear? Or are you just being clever?
We all get so excited about putting our products and offers to market, but our tendency is throw our offer out there, list all the fancy stuff about it, and then ask for the sale.
And for some weird reason, people are scrolling on instead of leaving us their credit card digits. What gives?
Four words: Too much, too soon.
So let’s pull it back, and do some serious thinking about what we’re saying to whom, and when.
By 6 p.m., I’m a hot mess. I’m tired, my kids are hangry, I still have to make dinner and my husband won’t be home until much later … which means clean-up and bed-time are also all on me.
This is a bad hot mess. And we eat a lot of pizza.
But there are times when I’m a good hot mess – and it’s when I’m writing copy. Because with writing, it’s perfectly okay to be a hot mess while you’re writing your rough draft. For Pete’s sake, it’s called ROUGH.
